According to court records, on April 17 tribal officers responded to a report of a domestic assault at the Dale Hanks residence.

The found a 16-year-old girl there with red marks on the left side of her face.

She said she was asleep at her grandfather's home and awoke to find Fasthorse standing over her. (They have a child together). He allegedly struck her in the face with a beer can, then struck her several times with his fist.

The two had not been on speaking terms for some time, and the girl's grandfather, Dale Hanks, said Fasthorse was not allowed at the residence because of the way he treats the girl.

Fasthorse admitted to officers that he threw a beer can at the girl. He was previously convicted of fifth-degree assault in 2004 and domestic assault in 2006.

He appeared April 19 before District Judge Joe Evans, who set bail or bond at $50,000, with conditions, and set his next court appearance for May 3.
