Ogema man charged with helping with robbery
An Ogema man has been charged in Becker County District Court with two felony counts including aiding/abetting aggravated robbery and fifth degree drug possession.
Jonathon Joseph Fossen, 22, of 33369 County Road 109, Ogema, was allegedly involved in an attempted robbery at a Detroit Lakes residence on Sept. 22.
According to court records, Fossen was the driver of a vehicle that pulled up outside the residence that evening. Two male passengers in the vehicle got out, entered the home, confronted the owners and demanded that they give them their TV sets.
A handgun gun was pulled when the homeowners refused to cooperate. The two men eventually left without the TVs; while one of them fled on foot, the other allegedly got into the vehicle with Fossen and he drove away.
The vehicle was subsequently located and searched; inside officers found several pills that were found to contain acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate (blue in color), as well as other pills containing dexmethylphenidate hydrocholoride (blue in color). Fossen reportedly admitted that some of the drugs found were his.
After his first court appearance on Oct. 2, Fossen was released on $2,500 bail pending his appearance at an Oct. 22 omnibus hearing.
