Email News Alerts

The Otter Tail County Garden Day will be held April 4 at the Underwood Public School.

This year, two keynote speakers will be featured -- Tom Geiser, local hometown favorite and former co-owner of Landscapes by Tom and Greg, will lead off the day at 9 a.m. Endnote speaker, Eric Bergeson, of Bergeson Nursery of Fertile, will complete a fun-filled day at 3 p.m. Both offer talks that are educational as well as entertaining.

For gardeners there will be victory gardens, planting shrubs and trees, composting, annuals, shade gardening, starting seeds, roses, hostas, vegetables, water smart gardening and more. Since East Otter Tail (Perham) will not be having a Garden Day (this year only), come to Garden Day in Underwood.

As usual, there will be many vendors, a special flower pot lunch, the "Ask a Master Gardener" table and numerous door prizes. The price remains $20 for the day. No pre-registration necessary.

Don't garden? There will be classes in making wine, garden globes, hypertufa pots, living wreaths, willow weaving or stonescaping.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. Enjoy a cup of coffee and roll as you plan your day. Stay until 4 p.m. and you can snack on homemade cookies all day.
