Outdoorsman Tony Dean dies from complications from appendectomy
Hunters and anglers are remembering one of this region's best known outdoorsmen today. Tony Dean, who spent a career doing television and radio shows on hunting and fishing in the Dakotas, died Sunday at his home in Pierre, S.D.
He was 67.
Dean fell ill recently following complications from an appendectomy.
Randy Kreil with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department told WDAY Radio News that he remembers Dean as a great friend of the outdoors who stressed the importance of conservation.

For many years, Dean produced and hosted his own radio and TV shows that aired on stations throughout the Dakotas.
