Pangea Festival looks for 2011 participants
The Pangea-Cultivate our Cultures organizers are inviting ethnic cultural groups and individuals to share their cultural traditions at the next Pangea Festival in November 2011.
Performers of all kinds representing cultural traditions from around the world are asked to submit a short description of their proposed 30-minute performance of dancing, playing instruments, singing, and/or storytelling to Tim Jorgensen at Tim.Jorgensen@ci.moorhead.mn.us or HCSCC, P.O. Box 157, Moorhead, MN 56561-0157.
In addition, individuals or groups who would like to share their country of origin's food traditions through food sales should submit their contact information and a general idea of what kinds of foods they might prepare.
Groups are also invited to have a cultural booth at the festival to share information about their cultures and/or to sell cultural merchandise. We are also looking for ideas of children's activities from a variety of traditions.
The deadline for expressing an interest in participating in next year's festival is Wednesday, Dec. 15.
