Teiken selected

Megan Teiken of Waubun was selected for a departmental scholarship for outstanding academic achievement at Bemidji State University. The scholarship will take effect at the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year.

Teiken, a sophomore majoring in business administration, received the Federated Insurance Business Scholarship from the Department of Business Administration.

CLC Dean's list students

Central Lakes College, Brainerd and Staples, has announced its spring semester honors list, and it includes several area students: Brian Jasken of Ogema has been named to the president's list, and Ryan Feldt of Frazee and Ryan Schram of Detroit Lakes have been named to the dean's list.

Gunderson is on Dean's list

Jenna Gunderson of Detroit Lakes has been named to the Dean's list with honors at Lake Superior College, Duluth. She is enrolled in the dental hygiene program.

Link receives scholarship

Jennifer Link of Detroit Lakes was selected for a departmental scholarship for outstanding academic achievement at Bemidji State University. The scholarship will take effect at the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year.

Link, a senior majoring in technical illustration/graphic design, received the Roy and Eva Lind Scholarship from the Department of Visual Arts.

Umanah receives chancellor's award

Mbang Umanah of Frazee has received the Chancellor's Award for the spring 2008 semester at the University of Wisconsin in Stout. The award is presented to students who have a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Students make list at Gustavus

Krystal Long and Whitney Westley of Detroit Lakes have been named to the Spring Semester Dean's List at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter.

Nistler on LSC list

Lake Superior College student, Eric Nistler, originally from Audubon, is listed on LSC's spring semester Dean's list. This honor signifies a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Long inducted into honor group

Krystal Long of Detroit Lakes was inducted into the Eta Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa at Gustavus Adolphus College this spring.

Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest and most prestigious academic honor society. Students are elected by a faculty committee of local chapter members based on their academic performance in fields of liberal learning.

Fradenburgh birth

Ben and Kristi Fradenburgh are very proud to announce the birth of their son, Brody Benjamin. He was born on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Innovis - Fargo, weighing 8 lbs. 7 oz & 20" long.
