At 112 pounds, No. 8 Andrew Gorentz (28-3) had two pins before winning 8-0 over No. 9-A Tanner Ellenberg of Frazee in the championship.

No. 6-AA Jacob Werner (28-4) had two wins by fall to get to the 119-pound title match against Chris Cossette of Pelican Rapids. Werner took the crown with a tech fall in 4:16.

Sam Warne (29-3), ranked No. 6-AA, had a pin and tech fall in his first two matches, then beat Frazee's Wade Hukriede in the championship, 12-5.

At 152 pounds, No. 9-AA Charlie Schmitz (22-7) also had a pair of easy matches to get to the championship. He had to earn the title with a hard fought 6-3 win over Stephen Erlandson of Breckenridge. Erlandson is ranked No. 6 in Class A.

The Jackets final title came at 215 pounds. Casey Sazama (28-3) made quick work of his three opponents, getting two first period falls, then pinning Pelican Rapids' McKale Evenson in 2:42 in the title match. Evenson is ranked No. 4 at 189 pounds in Class A.

Two Jackets got to the championship match of their weight classes, but fell short of HOL titles.

At 140 pounds, West Central Area's Jake Long beat Dwight Jenne in the championship, 9-5. Long is ranked No. 2 at 140 pounds in Class A. Jenne (19-10) had a tech fall and a 14-2 major decision to advance to the championship.

At 171 pounds, Nathan Schmitz had a tech fall and a 13-6 win to get to the championship against Frazee's Cody Nunn. Nunn, ranked No. 8 in Class A, edged Schmitz in the finals, 6-2. Schmitz (25-3) is ranked No. 2 in Class AA.

It's the 11th overall HOL Championship for the Yellow Jackets and fourth in the last five years. It's the first time since 1984-86 and just the second time in school history that they have won three-straight titles.
