Prairie Public Broadcasting's radio staff has been honored with four first- and three second-place 2007 North Dakota Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards.

The non-profit network's news department received first-place awards for "Higher Ed" in the Political Reporting category, "The Flood of '97 - Ten Years Later" in the Series/Documentary category, "Curling in Devils Lake" in the Sports category, and "School of Mines" in the Best Use of Sound

category.

Second-place honors were awarded for "Rudy in Fargo" in the Political Reporting category, "Nursing Shortage" in the Series/Documentary

category, and "Northern Lights Cafe" in the Best Use of Sound category.

The North Dakota Associated Press Broadcasters Association annual competition, established in 1978, is open to stations from North Dakota and surrounding states, and stories submitted are judged by broadcast peers from other states.

Prairie Public's 2007 radio news team, which included Dave Thompson, Todd McDonald, Danielle Webster, and Tracy Fugere, has won

numerous awards from the Associated Press over the years.
