After 32 1/2 years with the Becker County Farm Service Agency (FSA) office, Mary Anderson will retire Jan. 2 to spend more time with her husband, Arthur, their daughter Jen and son Todd and their families, including eight grandchildren. An open house for Anderson will be held at the FSA office in Detroit Lakes on Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 1-3 p.m.

When Mary Anderson first applied for a job at the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS, now known as the Farm Service Agency, or FSA) office in Detroit Lakes, it was supposed to be a temporary position.
