RAIDER GIRLS BASKETBALL: LP-A falls short of Northern Cass
The Lake Park-Audubon girls' basketball team was thrown out of rhythm by the visiting Northern Cass squad in a 42-38 loss.
The North Dakota team was able to move the ball around the floor and the Raider defense to set up their high-percentage shots, while LP-A couldn't get on track offensively.
"(Northern Cass) really moved the ball well and found too many open looks inside," said LP-A head coach Anthony Bryant.
"We played well at times on defense by holding them to 42 points, but struggled to find a good rhythm on offense."
Senior guard Andi Knudsvig led the Raiders with 16 points, while sophomore Bailee Bartunek dominated the boards once again.
Bartunek leads the state in rebounding with 69 in five games.
No other Raider had over six points.
"Lately, we are struggling to put points on the board," Bryant said.
"But we will get back to the fundamentals and work on our defense, which will give us some transition points."
The Raiders (3-2) will host Ulen-Hitterdal (0-3) Thursday, starting at 7:30 p.m.
