Raiders' Renner runs over Fosston with 190 rushing yards
A balanced offensive attack paced the visiting Lake Park-Audubon football team to a 26-14 victory over Fosston Friday.
Senior running back Nate Renner accounted for three rushing touchdowns, while accumulating a game-high 190 yards on 29 carries (6.6 ypc) to key the Raiders' rushing attack.
Junior quarterback Mason Swegarden also did some damage to the Greyhounds (0-4) through the air, by passing for 117 yards on seven completions, including a touchdown pass to Jon Olson, who also caught a total of three passes for 68 yards.
Senior linebacker Mat Pepper also was a tackling machine, having 15 solo tackles to help stuff Fosston to help LP-A outgain the Hounds 350-245.
The win evens the Raiders' record to 2-2, while they will travel to Red Lake County (2-2) in Oklee Friday.
