The bats came alive for the Detroit Lakes softball team as they pelted visiting Crosby-Ironton Tuesday in a doubleheader sweep by the scores of 13-0 and 21-2.


Senior Amalea Branden had a career day at the plate, going a combined 5-7 for seven RBIs, five runs scored and three doubles.

The Lakers batted for 17 hits in the two games, along with 13 total walks by Crosby-Ironton pitchers and 12 Ranger errors to boot.
