Red Lake man sentenced in scalding assault
A Red Lake man must serve five years in prison and three years of supervised release for pouring scalding water and food on a woman, causing third-degree burns on her head, shoulders, arms and back, the U.S. attorney's office said in a news release.
Ronald Dean Oakgrove, 42, pleaded guilty in April to a charge of assault resulting in serious bodily injury. U.S. District Court Judge John Tunheim sentenced Oakgrove on Thursday in Fergus Falls.
