Redby man gets 7½ years for burglary, stabbing

BEMIDJI, Minn. - A Redby man was sentenced Tuesday in Beltrami County Court to 7½ years in prison for stabbing a man in May.

Orland James Spears, 23, received 69 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for first-degree burglary, with credit for 96 days served. Spears also was sentenced consecutively to 21 months in prison for second-degree assault.


Spears pleaded guilty in June to stabbing the man at the man’s Beltrami County home.
