Religion needs to be taught in public schools

Email

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). Many parents today home-school their children because they believe that their children's education is far too important to turn over to government-controlled schools.

Taxpayers must pay all the expenses to build and maintain school buildings and pay teachers and staff. But, our government dictates what is and what is not taught. It's liberal and progressive legislation and the Department of Education has only produced failure.

Using the unconstitutional guise of "separation of church and state," our government schools have divorced the Creator and God of love, mercy, forgiveness, grace and hope, and married the evil god of atheism, humanism and socialism.

The Department of Education has concocted many deceitful guises to justify the teaching of evolution, sex education, diversity, political correctness, homosexuality, hate crimes, speech crimes, and others. All of this is for the purpose of more government control and less freedom in our lives.

Evolution is not even true science. It forbids any kind of counter-induction (alternative points of view) becoming indoctrination. The First Amendment of our U.S. Constitution is being trashed by our government schools. Our children are taught they evolved from apes, which totally contradicts their religious faith that they were created by God (Genesis 1:27).

Sex education was also forced on us and has resulted in degrading our children's innocence, self-esteem, integrity and character, sadly resulting in more abortions and suicides among teenagers.

Will evil and Satan continue to triumph so crime and violence gets worse in our government controlled schools? Isn't it high time to end the Department of Education's dictatorship over our public schools? Local school boards should be given that responsibility, again.
