Repo man says Moorhead man tried to run him over with vehicle
MOORHEAD - A Moorhead man was arrested Monday night after a repossession agent told police someone tried to run him over.
The incident was reported about 6 p.m. in the 800 block of 35th St. S.
According to Moorhead Police Lt. Tory Jacobson:
Robert Jorgenson, 25, a repo man from Brooklyn Park, Minn., was waiting in a Moorhead neighborhood for a vehicle he was looking to repossess to return.
Jacobson said that for reasons that are not entirely clear, another man who was not involved in the repossession case took exception to Jorgenson's presence in the neighborhood, became irate with him and flipped him off.
Jorgenson told police the man then drove a vehicle toward him, nearly striking him with it.
Armed with information provided by Jorgenson, police later questioned and arrested Troy Michael Johnson, 42, 3550 8th Ave. S., Moorhead.
Johnson was charged this morning in Clay County District Court with one count of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
