Report released on MN tax provisions
The Minnesota Department of Revenue has released the 2014 Tax Expenditure Budget.
The report identifies state and local tax provisions that give preferential tax treatment to certain persons, types of income, transactions, or property. Minnesota law requires the department to release this report every two years.
The report is available on the Department’s website.
The report contains information that can be used to evaluate Minnesota current state and local tax system and as a basis for making future policy decisions.
It also explains and provides the history for each provision, as well as the fiscal impact for fiscal years 2014 through 2017.
