ReStock concert is March 26 in DLHS
Detroit Lakes High School will hold a concert at the end of the day, March 26, and abbreviate the class schedule to have it during the school day. Anyone who wants to attend will pay $2 to raise fund for the Becker County Food Pantry. Those who don't want to attend will stay in class from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Local bands (student talent) will perform to raise money to ReStock the Food Shelf. Members of the Advanced Public Speaking class will help to project and broadcast the performances on the large screen in the gym (DLHS's own JumboTron). A 1960s dress up day - hippie fashion, mod fashion, etc. _ is encouraged.
During the concert there will be something called FLOUR Power. This will be the one-minute coin/cash drive to support the bands that the audience likes best. NHS students will canvas the bleachers for people to put money in FLOUR containers to give the food shelf additional funds. The band with the most money earned will win a prize that NHS will pay for from its account (not from the food shelf funds).
Performers at the concert include C Squared (Carrie Sorenson and Cecelia Erholtz), Ear Surgery (Tre Martinez), In the Clouds (Keith Thornby, Cecelia Erholtz, CJ Hanson, Andy Schupp) and unnamed band of Mike Leach, Jake Nicklauson, Seth Sharbutt and Tanner Yocom.
The public is welcome to attend the performances and raise funds.
