Riebe honored with Super Service Award
In a small ceremony held on Feb. 15, the Promotions and Events Committee of the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce presented Detroit Lakes City Offices' Linda Riebe with a Super Service Award.
Riebe has worked in the City of Detroit Lakes for more than 30 years. Her current title is accounting one/receptionist.
"I am still in shock by the whole thing. I was very surprised and honored by the award," commented Riebe.
For her customer service efforts, Riebe received a plaque, Chamber Bucks and a plant, courtesy Floral Impressions. On hand to make the presentation was Promotions and Events Committee member Joan Peters and City of Detroit Lakes Financial Officer Lou Guzek.
"I have worked at the city office for 31 years and love dealing with the public. I think being polite is very important and I always try to work with people and do what I can for them, " explained Riebe.
By recognizing individuals who offer exceptional service to their customers, the Promotions and Events Committee of the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce hopes to make lakes area residents aware of what the local community has to offer by way of goods and services and the outstanding individuals who provide them.
Comprised of members from the retail, service and media industries, the Promotions and Events Committee's goals are to highlight the many things one can do, see and partake of in the lakes community, thus drawing people to the region.
For more information, or you are interested in making a nomination, call the Chamber Monday through Friday at 847-9202, stop in at the office at 700 Summit Avenue in Detroit Lakes, or visit their Web site at www.visitdetroitlakes.com.
