Robert A. Krause, 36, of Rochert, died Friday, April 5, 2013 at his residence, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Robert Allen Krause was born to Roger and DeeAnn (Schooler) Krause on March 10, 1977 in Detroit Lakes. He grew up in Rochert and attended school in Frazee, graduating from Frazee High school in 1996. He then attended the Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes.

Over the years he has worked for Team Industries and Snappy's in Detroit Lakes, and the Jetvig Farms of Lake Park. He was most recently working for the Strata Corp. of Detroit Lakes. He also farmed with his father.

Robert loved hunting and being with his friends. He was a member of the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Association and enjoyed working at the Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollag.

Surviving Robert are his daughter, Makayla Gruette of Perham; father, Roger Krause of Rochert; mother, DeeAnn (Arnold) Landgren of Perham; one sister, Cheryl Peterson of Perham; and his paternal grandmother, Betty Krause of Rochert.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather, Keith Krause; and his maternal grandmother, Elna Schooler.

Visitation is set from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 12, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at the West-Kjos Funeral Home in Detroit Lakes.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at the First Baptist Church in Detroit Lakes, with interment in Senjen Cemetery, Rochert.
