Visitation will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. It will continue for one hour prior to Friday's services.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11 in Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, with Pastor Dan C. Abrahams officiating. Burial will take place at Silent Vale Cemetery, Maine, Minn.

RoseMary, "Rosie," was born the daughter of Pat and Anna Paulson on August 10, 1951. She graduated from Waubun High School in 1969 and then attended Detroit Lakes Vocational Technical College, earning an accounting degree.

Rosie moved to Lincoln, Neb., where she met and was married to Helmeth August Block, 1971-81. In 1983 she was reunited with her teenage sweetheart, Steve Collins, and they were married December 31, 1985. They made their home in rural Dent.

Rosie was very active in both family businesses; the well known Collins Landing, which Rosie and Steve ran jointly with Steve's brother, Tom and Jody Collins, from 1986-94, and Collins Fish and Bait. She served a prominent role in each as bookkeeper and head office manager, fielding calls and preparing for the bait routes. She even found time to wear the many hats of full time wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver. While the kids were young you'd find her chauffeuring them and the neighbor kids between school activities and programs in the family suburban.

Ozaawaa Memengwaa Ikwe (Yellow Butterfly Woman): A White Earth enrolled member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, Rosie was very proud of her heritage.

She was also a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2342.

Rosie's favorite times were visiting with close friends over a cup of coffee, cutting grass on her lawn mower and most of all, her grandchildren. She was a constant companion to her mother-in-law, Prudence, until her passing. She enjoyed a few trips with Steve to Hawaii, Las Vegas, the Grand Ole Opry, Branson Mo., and an occasional trip to the casino.

Surviving Rosie are her husband, Steve, of Dent; six children, Charles (Glenda) Block of Jud, N.D., Kenneth (Amy) Block of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Patricia Collins and Deborah Collins, both of Moorhead, Brenda Collins of Detroit Lakes and Raymond Collins; 11 siblings, Patsy (Wid) Robison of Omaha, Neb., Ted (Karen) Paulson of Lincoln, Neb., Nonie (Ross) Bordwell of Palmer, Alaska, Ray (Glenda) Paulson of Lincoln, Neb., Dave Paulson of Dent, Vera (Bill) Miller of Omaha, Lilly (Jim) Pinneo of Newburg, Ore., Keith (Tina) Paulson of Bellevue, Neb., Karen (Mick) Brice of Independence, Mo., Bill (Teresa) Paulson of Naytawaush and Penny (Rick) Kagigebi of Detroit Lakes; 16 grandchildren; brothers-in-law Tom (Jody) Collins of Dent and Jerry (Cathy) Collins of Vergas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Rosie in death were her parents, Pat and Anna Paulson; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kons; and mother-in-law, Prudence Collins.

Schoeneberger Funeral Home, Perham, is handling the arrangements. Online tributes may be posted at www.schoenebergerfuneralhome.com.
