A SPECIAL PERFORMANCE of the tribute show, "I Remember Roy Orbison," will be presented this Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Ulen-Hitterdal School's Top Hat Theatre, starting at 6:30 p.m. The show will feature Wayne Luchau as Roy Orbison , performing with Midwest Hall of Fame band The Shadows. Singer Jenn McPherson will also present a special tribute to 1960s female hitmakers like Patsy Cline and Connie Francis.

Though its 2010-11 season doesn't officially launch until next month, the Top Hat Theatre at Ulen-Hitterdahl School, Ulen, will host a special tribute concert, "I Remember Roy Orbison," this Saturday, Aug. 21, at 6:30 p.m., as a fund-raiser for the theater.

The show will feature The Shadows, 2005 inductees into the Mid-America Music Hall of Fame, and tribute artist Wayne Luchau as Roy Orbison.

Shadows co-founder Dick Dunkirk will also pay tribute to the group's former lead singer, Bobby Vee, and Jenn McPherson will pay tribute to the female singing stars of the 1960s: Patsy Cline, Leslie Gore, Dionne Warwick and Connie Francis, to name a few.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and may be purchased at the school office or by phone at 218-596-8854.

The 2010-11 season of Top Hat Theatre officially gets underway on Saturday, Sept. 18. Season tickets are $60 for individuals or $120 per family (two adults, two children).
