Salvation Army feeds masses
The Salvation Army partnered with the local United Way to serve lunch for all of the students, staff and community volunteers who participated the 2008 Day of Caring.
"It was a disaster training exercise, a time to practice when our county may need to call in the Salvation Army to feed many in a disaster such a s a flood or what have you," said Becker County Salvation Army representative Michele Baker.
The following businesses helped to support the Day of Caring/disaster readiness exercise: Central Market, Holiday Inn, Viking Coca Cola, Barrel O Fun, Dairy Queen, McDonald's, School Food Service and the Fargo Disaster Service unit.
"We can not thank them enough for bringing the canteen and assisting us."
