School bond polling places

Polls for the upcoming Detroit Lakes Public Schools bond referendum election will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Voters who live in wards 2 and 3 of the City of Detroit Lakes; Burlington, Lake Eunice and Lakeview townships in Becker County; and Candor and Dunn townships in Otter Tail County can cast their ballots at Detroit Lakes High School, located at 1301 Roosevelt Ave.

Those who live in Ward 1 of the City of Detroit Lakes; the City of Callaway; and the townships of Audubon, Callaway, Detroit, Eagle View, Erie, Hamden, Height of Land, Holmesville, Maple Grove, Riceville, Richwood, Round Lake and Sugar Bush will be voting at Detroit Lakes Middle School, located at 500 11th Ave.

Those who would like to vote in advance may either do so in person at the Becker County Auditor’s Office, or request a mail-in ballot.

Application forms for early/absentee ballots may be requested by e-mail, phone, fax or in person from the County Auditor or the School District any time during regular business hours.

The auditor’s office is located on the second floor of the Becker County Courthouse at 915 Lake Ave. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Ballots may be cast up until 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4. After this time, all voting must be done in person, on Election Day.

Absentee ballots will be promptly mailed to those who have completed and returned an application form, and must be received by the Becker County Auditor before 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 in order to be counted.
