SCORE lends support to those starting a business

Have you ever wished you had a shoulder to lean on in business, someone who knows business from the inside out?

Starting or expanding a small business can be overwhelming. SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) is a resource partner, of volunteers, with the U.S. Small Business Administration to provide counsel on financing options, business planning, marketing strategies, product development, and more. CORE provides face-to face advice and there is no fee.

The Detroit Lakes Business & Entrepreneurial Services would like to work toward a regional SCORE branch. If you are retired, or employed, and from the business community, big or small, you are invited to attend an informational meeting at MSCTC-DL on Monday, Oct. 20, at noon to see how you can help others become entrepreneurs.

Lunch will be provided and SCORE representatives from other areas will be present to provide information.

Share your expertise and knowledge to help others become business owners. Plan to attend on Monday, Oct. 20, at noon at MSCTC-DL, Room A101B, for information. For questions or to RSVP, please contact Patty Heath Gordon at 218-846-3804 or
