DETROIT LAKES - The Detroit Lakes wrestling team gained the No. 4 seed for the upcoming Section 8-2A team playoffs.

The Lakers will face No. 5 Park Rapids Tuesday at 6 p.m. The victor from that bout will have to face No. 1 Perham at 7:30 p.m. that same night.

The first and second rounds will be held Tuesday, in Park Rapids.

The other match-up includes No. 3 Fergus Falls versus No. 6 Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus, with the winner facing No. 2 Little Falls.

In the north half, No. 5 Walker/Hackensack-Akeley will face No. 4 Blackduck/Cass Lake-Bena, while No. 3 Roseau will battle No. 6 East Grand Forks, with the winner facing No. 2 Fosston/Bagley.

The Section 8-2A semifinals and finals will be held Friday, Feb. 20, in Fosston.

Laker girls' hockey is No. 4 seed in Section 6-1A

The No. 4 Laker girls hockey team will host No. 5 Pequot Lakes Saturday inside Kent Freeman Arena, beginning at 1 p.m. for the first round of the Section 6-1A playoffs.

The winner will play at No. 1 Fergus Falls Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m.

The bottom bracket has No. 3 Morris/Benson hosting No. 6 Wadena-Deer Creek/Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Saturday at 7 p.m.

The victor will travel to No. 2 Alexandria Tuesday for an 8:30 p.m. start.

The Section 6-1A finals will be held at a neutral site Friday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m.
