Semi fire backs up I-94 traffic near Moorhead overnight
MOORHEAD - A semi truck burned early this morning on Interstate 94 just outside of Moorhead, backing up traffic for more than a mile.
The driver said he had just loaded in Fargo and was headed to Minneapolis when he noticed something wasn't right with the engine.
He pulled over, saw flames and called for help shortly before 2 a.m.
Crews had to close the eastbound lanes of I-94 for about 45 minutes while they put out the fire and moved the rig.
