A semi driver was not seriously injured Monday morning after his truck overturned on a corner in Hubbard, but was transported for observation.

The accident south of Park Rapids occurred just after 8 a.m. on Hubbard County 6, where a sharp curve turns into the burg near Long Lake Theater.

The truck full of wood chips spilled its load when it overturned.

The driver was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to St. Joseph's Area Health Services emergency room.

Jodi Walsh of Walsh Forest Products said the unidentified driver "walked to the ambulance" and sustained no serious injuries.

Authorities on the scene didn't believe ice was a factor. It's possible the driver lost his bearings or was distracted when he turned the corner, one deputy suggested.
