Their efforts are definitions of super service. These awards are given to business and organization members of the Detroit Lakes Chamber of Commerce six times per year.

To nominate a staff member or volunteer in the area that has "gone the extra mile" contact the DL Chamber at 218-847-9202.

The Lake Detroiters Association partnered with the City of Detroit Lakes, Pelican River Watershed and the Department of Natural Resources to educate watercraft operators about Minnesota laws in preventing the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species.

The program has resulted in over 2,000 watercraft inspections so far.
