Sharon A. Anderson, 70, of Frazee, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Ecumen-Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes.
Sharon was born the daughter of Ernest and Audrey (Craft) Olson on July 3, 1942 in Perham. She was raised and educated in Detroit Lakes, graduating from high school in 1960.
Sharon was united in marriage to Patrick Anderson on April 15, 1962 at First Methodist Church in Detroit Lakes. They made their home in rural Frazee. She was an owner and operator of Bernie Anderson Trucking with her husband, Bernie.
Sharon also worked for Detroit Lakes Newspapers as a motor route carrier for ten years.
Sharon enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading romance and mystery novels. During her younger years she enjoyed fishing and hunting with her father, Ernest. Sharon cherished her time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving Sharon are her husband, Patrick "Bernie" Anderson of Frazee; her children, Joel Anderson of Detroit Lakes, Jody (Dennis) Wheeler of Frazee, Jolene (Joe Cannon) Peterson of Sebeka, and Jon (Julie) Anderson of Lake Park; 20 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Marlys (Jerry) Ortlepp, Ella Mae (Bruce) Frank and Maxine Spicer, all of Detroit Lakes, and Patty (Bob) Sanaker of Oswego, N.Y.; two brothers, Rick (Brenda) Olson of Detroit Lakes and Mike (Rachel) Olson of Perham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Sharon in death were her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, at West-Kjos Funeral Home.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18 at West-Kjos Funeral Home, with Pastor Brenda North officiating.
Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, rural Detroit Lakes.
