Six will vie for Miss Northwest title July 11

Breanna Sinner, 19, is the daughter of Jerry and Clare Sinner. She is enrolled at the University of Minnesota Duluth pursuing a degree in communication sciences and disorder. She is performing a cello solo entitled "Allemande." Her platform is "America's Next Top Role Model: Creating Better Role Models for Today's Youth."

Amanda Hanson, 21, is the daughter of Chuck and Barb Hanson. She is enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Superior with a major in speech communications and double minors in business and theater. She will present a vocal selection "Wishing You were Somehow here Again" from the "Phantom of the Opera." Her platform is "Protecting Local Waters."

Katie Harper, 18, is the daughter of Tom and Sue Harper. She is enrolled at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Detroit Lakes, with a major in business administration. She will be performing a dance to "Dare You to Move" by Switchfoot. Her platform is "Shooting for the Stars."

Heather Erickson, 18, is the daughter of Rox-Ann and Wayne Erickson. She is enrolled at Central Lakes College pursuing an associate of arts and science. Her talent selection will be a violin solo entitled, "Spring" from Vavaldi's "Four Seasons." Her platform is "Fit for Life: Overcoming Obesity."

Katie Hamness, 20, is the daughter of Greg and Laurie Hamness. She is enrolled at Minnesota State University Moorhead with a double major in graphic design and journalism. Her talent selection is a vocal selection entitled "Last Dance" written by Paul Jabara and first performed by Donna Summer. Her platform is "Save a Life Say, Yes: The Decision to Become an Organ/Tissue Donor."
