Skoe to hold town halls

Now that the Legislature has begun the 2010 session, lawmakers are scheduling meetings around the state to listen to the public's opinions on this year's agenda.

Sen. Rod Skoe will be holding town meetings in the area. It's an opportunity to hear about what's going on in St. Paul, learn about options for solving the state's structural budget problems and share concerns.

On Friday, Feb. 26, Rep. Kent Eken and Skoe will be at the Fosston Embassy Center, Fertile City Hall, Twin Valley City Hall, the Ada Community Center and the Halstad High School Library.

On Saturday, Feb. 27, they will be at the Lake Park-Audubon High School Media Center from 9 to 10:30 a.m.; the Frazee Fire Hall from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; the Callaway City Hall from 1 to 2:30 p.m.; and the Mahnomen School Auditorium from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, March 6, Rep. Brita Sailer and Skoe will be at the Kelliher School Media Center, the Blackduck High School Library, the Clearbrook School, the Bagley City Council Chamber and the Park Rapids Frank White Education Center Community Room from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
