Small business center to offer two seminars
A presentation covering the basic steps to starting one's own business, coordinated by the Northwest Regional Small Business Center (SBDC), will be held Thursday, April 17, in Bemidji and on Tuesday, April 22, in Thief River Falls.
Director of the SBDC Jorge Prince will give the April 17 presentation in Bemidji from 6-9 p.m. at the Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation, an off-campus facility located at 3801 Bemidji Ave. N. Dennis Sevigny will give the April 22 presentation in Thief River Falls from 6-9 p.m. at Northland Community and Technical College.
The three-hour sessions will focus on feasibility, business plan basics, basic legal requirements and understanding the various aspects of financing a business.
The registration fees for the classes are $40 per person or $60 for partners, which include all materials, and are payable at the door. The Small Business Development Center is housed at the Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation.
