Alexy sings as one half of the duo Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank, along with his brother Teague. The brothers have toured extensively across the United States and reside in St. Paul, Minn.

Opening act Robertson, from Wadena, is working to complete her first CD of songs she has written.

Tickets to this concert are $5 general admission, or free to students (with a student I.D.).

Also at the Cultural Center through the end of this month are two exhibits:

"Happenchance," a display of artwork by Laura Andrews, Suzanne Murphy, Jennifer Totoritis Searl, and Heather Humbert (Price), all of the Twin Cities, and in the Upstairs Gallery, "Paper Plains," by Minneapolis artist Brian Jorgenson.

Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A reception for both of these artist exhibitions, originally set for Dec. 11, has been rescheduled on Saturday, Jan. 8 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Also coming up, at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve, the Cultural Center will release the question for the 2011 Great American Think-Off essay competition.
