The Detroit Lakes All-City Golf series started last Tuesday at the Lakeview Golf Course.

Shooting low for the boys were sophomores Tanner Schnathorst with a 67 and Christian Hedstrom with a 68.

The girls were led by each of eighth grader Abby Schramel and sophomore Katie Larson with an 88.

The next event will be Tuesday, July 16, at the Forest Hills Golf Course, starting at 4 p.m.

Tee it Up for Troops golf tourney Friday, July 12

Patriot Assistance Dogs hosting Tee It Up for the Troops Golf Tournament.  Friday, July 12, starting at 1 p.m. at the  Lakeview Golf Course.

Registration is $75 per golfer and includes golf cart for two and lunch.

Laker U-18 girls’ soccer goes 1-2 in tourney

The Detroit Lakes Stealth U-18 girls’ soccer team took third place in the Tri-City Tournament.

The DL squad toppled West Fargo 2-1, with Halle Jordan scoring both goals and assists being dished out by Lindsey Heinecke and Anya Butzer.

DL fell to Lakeville Shock 1-0 and to HCSC 2-0.

The Detroit Lakes Northwest Tournament will be Friday-Sunday, July 12-14, at the Rotary Soccer Fields.
