St. Mary's Foundation awards scholarships
St. Mary's Foundation announced the Sister Anne Scholarship recipients for the 2011-2012 academic year. Four $500 scholarships were awarded to the following candidates:
Collin Harris, who recently graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in May 2011. Harris is attending Moorhead State University in Moorhead, MN, pursuing a career in pharmacy.
Annette Rabideaux, from Detroit Lakes, who will graduate in December 2011 from Moorhead State Community and Technical College with a degree as a billing compliance specialist.
Sophie Shogren, who recently graduated from Park Rapids Area High School in May 2011. Shogren is attending St. Catherine University in St. Paul, with plans to become a surgeon.
Isaac Zoller, from Park Rapids, who will graduate in May 2012 from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D., with a Bachelor's Degree in biology and pre-medicine. Zoller plans to become a family physician.
St. Mary's Foundation established the scholarship in memory of Sister Anne Goulet, to encourage the undergraduate academic pursuits for a clinical career in healthcare. Applications for the next academic year will be available April 2012.
