State trade office set to hold workshop
A one-day workshop to help participants learn how to conduct research to find the best international markets for their goods and services will be offered by the Minnesota Trade Office in September.
"International Market Research: A Hands-on Workshop" is set for Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development in the First National Bank Building, 332 Minnesota St., in downtown St. Paul.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Participants will learn what questions to ask before entering the global marketplace, including whether a demand exists for their products or services outside the United States and which markets are the most and least promising for them.
Upon completing the workshop, participants will be able to identify the best countries for their products or services, barriers to entry and cultural considerations.
The cost of the event is $75, including materials, light breakfast and lunch. Advanced registration is required.
