State workshop shows how to market overseas
The Minnesota Trade Office is offering a workshop to help participants learn how to conduct research before marketing their goods and services in other countries.
"International Market Research: A Hands-on Workshop" will be offered on Thursday, May 15, at the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development in the First National Bank Building, 332 Minnesota St., in downtown St. Paul. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the event from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The workshop will help participants determine the right questions to ask, including whether there is a market for their products or services outside the United States and which markets are the most and least promising for them.
After completing the workshop, participants will be able to identify the best markets for their products, barriers to entry and cultural considerations.
The cost of the event is $75, including materials, light breakfast and lunch. Advanced registr ation is required. For more information or to reserve a space, contact instructor Mary Jo Stangl at 651-259-7495 or email@example.com.
