Stolen truck, plow from local repair shop located in Detroit Lakes
NEW YORK MILLS - Someone must have needed to get their fishhouse off the lake pretty badly.
A truck stolen from a repair shop in New York Mills last week was recovered Tuesday in Detroit Lakes.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office received a report last Thursday of the theft of a Ford 250 4x4, which also had a red, 8-foot Western snow plow, taken from the lot at Niemela Repair at the east end of New York Mills on Centennial Drive.
Mike Bohn, a spokesman with the OTC Sheriff's Office, said Tuesday the truck and plow had been recovered and at least one suspect is being interviewed in connection with the crime.
The truck belongs to a New York Mills man and had been towed to Niemela's for repair. The truck was reportedly not driveable.
Authorities believe the truck was towed or hauled from the scene sometime between 5 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday of last week, according to information released by the sheriff's office.
