Minnesota Department of Transportation workers put up four-way stop signs at the intersection of Highway 59 and Willow on Monday.

The new four-way stop is a temporary measure as MnDOT conducts a traffic survey to determine what the best course of action is for the intersections.

Options being considered are traffic lights or a roundabout.

Traffic didn't back up to more than a few cars at 5 p.m. Monday, but some motorists trying to turn from Willow Street were hesitant to enter the intersection as they were wary of drivers on Highway 59 not yielding to traffic coming from a smaller street.
