Straka’s shutout carries NDSU to victory at Summit baseball tournament

ROCHESTER, Mich. – John Straka allowed just six hits and struck out five in a complete-game shutout as North Dakota State won its opening-round game 2-0 against Oakland (Mich.) at the Summit League baseball tournament Friday.


Kyle Kleinendorst went 2-for-4 with a solo home run for the Bison (25-25).

Third-seeded NDSU advances to face No. 4-seeded Western Illinois in a winner’s bracket game today.
