Summer Ann Taylor, 34, Moorhead, died unexpectedly, Thursday, July 21, 2011, in Brooklyn Center, Minn.
A Celebration of Summer's life will take place Wednesday, July 27, from 5-7 p.m. in the Detroit Lakes City Park. Please dress casually.
Summer Ann Taylor was born Feb. 6, 1977, in Detroit Lakes. She grew up on little Detroit Lake and is a graduate of Detroit Lakes High School. She then moved to Moorhead, where she made her home and cultivated many close, personal friendships with a variety of people.
Summer loved kids -- her own as well as others'. She was extraordinary in the use of a camera, utilizing the kids she loved as well as nature's creations as subjects. Summer saw magic in ordinary things. She had endless compassion for all those lives she touched.
Summer is survived by two children, Odessa Taylor of Detroit Lakes; Tyeik Roberts of Fargo, N.D.; her father, Wayne (Beatrice) Taylor of Detroit Lakes; her mother, Jean Taylor of Detroit Lakes; a sister, Karlie (Preston) Johnson of Brooklyn Park, and a brother, Dustin Taylor of Fargo; grandparents, Darlene Taylor of Detroit Lakes, and Charles and Sylvia Brown of Callaway.
