Miss Teen Becker County will represent her county at the Miss Teen Minnesota pageant, which will be held at the Ritsche Auditorium March 16-17 in St. Cloud.

The young lady chosen as Miss Teen Becker County will become an ambassador from the Becker County area and will receive an official title and sash. She will receive a prize package and scholarship totaling $10,000 and the chance to represent Minnesota at the 2013 Miss Teen International pageant.

The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women is the official charity of the Miss Teen Minnesota Pageant.

The reigning 2012 Miss Teen Minnesota is Gabby Taylor of Stillwater. As Miss Teen Minnesota, Gabby speaks out on "Accidents Hurt, Safety Doesn't." On Dec. 17, 2009, Gabby's life changed in an instant when she lost the use of her right arm when it was paralyzed due to a cheerleading accident.

Gabby says what happened to her could happen to anyone involved in extra-curricular sports. She wants to educate students and coaches on injury prevention and safety awareness. For more information, visit www.sportssafety.org.

Teens will compete in personal interview, fitness wear, fun fashion wear and evening gown. There are no talent or swimsuit competitions.
