Thanks to Project Give-Back shoppers

"It's the most wonderful time of the year..." and I'm grateful for the truly wonderful thing that happened Tuesday night in downtown Detroit Lakes.

Norby's Department Store held their annual Open House and also announced the culmination of Project Give-Back, in which shoppers throughout the month of November were awarded with a $10 coupon for every $100 spent. Shoppers then were able to give their coupons to one of four area non-profits who work with all ages of people in the area: Hospice of the Red River Valley, Becker County Food Pantry, Lakes Area Crisis & Resource Center, and the Boys & Girls Club.

Michael Norby presented checks to the four non-profits at last night's Open House, and over $4,000 was awarded. This represents so much goodwill from the community and tremendous affirmation that we are all doing a good job of fulfilling our various missions.

Thank you so much to everyone who chose to participate in this great event of shopping for a good cause. At Hospice of the Red River Valley, we know it is a privilege to serve every patient and family that entrusts us with their care, and we are grateful for the outflowing of generosity from so many.
