Thanks for supporting 'Quake the Lake'
The Twin City Power Boat Association and myself would like to thank the Detroit Lakes community for coming out to support our Third Annual Quake the Lake professional power boat racing. Although the weather didn't cooperate, we had hundreds of hard core fans brave the weather and cheer on their favorite drivers. We had an excellent amount of news coverage prior to the event as well as posters and T-shirts, etc. We know that a lot of people came from out of town to watch the race.
We're already looking forward to Quake the Lake IV, next year. Hopefully the weather will be more cooperative and we can put on another great event.
I'd also like to thank our sponsors, Zorbaz, Detroit Lakes Tourism Bureau, J&K Marine, Great Plains Claims, Inc., and Recreational Salvage. We've made some new friends this year that plan to get more involved in the race next year. I'd also like to thank the Detroit Lakes Police Department for helping us get a new pit area at the last minute. Also our hats go off to the Becker County Sheriff's Department for their excellent job of traffic control down by the race site. Best wishes for a great summer. -- Ross Rolshoven, Race Director
