Three-vehicle crash on Highway 10 near Wadena leaves one injured
A Staples man was injured in a three-vehicle accident Friday near Wadena.
Nicholas S. Dille, 21, of Staples suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
He was eastbound on Highway 10 in a 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup truck, and failed to notice a 1999 Dodge Caravan slowing down in front of him to turn north into a driveway.
The pickup rear-ended the minivan, forcing it to collide with 2008 Ford Taurus that was westbound on Highway 10, according to the State Patrol.
No one else was injured in the crash.
The driver of the minivan was Robert C. Rentz, 48, of Sebeka. There was one passenger in the minivan, Heidi A. Rentz, 48, of Sebeka.
The driver of the Taurus was Darlene M. Holtti, 67, of Bluffton. There was one passenger in the Taurus, Keagan O. Holtti, 4, of Bluffton.
The accident occurred about 4:16 p.m. Friday on dry blacktop on Highway 10 at County Road 75 west of Wadena, according to the State Patrol.
