Thrivent members to vote on charity grant

Members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will soon recommend where to direct $1 million in charitable grant funds as part of the membership organization's second Thrivent Choice Voting Event.

The funding will be distributed among seven national nonprofit organizations which address health and human care needs. Funding will be distributed based on the percentage of votes each organization receives during the voting event period, Jan. 24 to Feb. 28.

Organizations participating in this winter 2011 Voting Event include: Bethesda Lutheran Communities, Feeding America, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, Lutheran Services in America, Orphan Grain Train, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Wheat Ridge Ministries.
