Timothy Clifford Johnson, 50, of Bemidji, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, July 21 at the First Assembly of God Church in Bemidji, with Pastor Vern Lathe officiating.
Visitation was from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 20 at the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji, and one hour prior to Monday's services at the church.
Tim, the son of Rev. Clifford and June (Tolbert) Johnson, was born February 13, 1964 in Minneapolis. After graduating from Frazee High School in 1982, Tim attended and graduated from Oak Hills Bible College in Bemidji. While attending Oak Hills, he met his future wife, Jill Underwood-Maxwell, to whom he was wholly devoted. Tim and Jill were married on May 11, 1991.
Tim went through life finding joy in the every day. He was passionate about his family, his work with the children he taught at Head Start, cheering for the Vikings, taking in stray pets who needed a home, and making time each week for a movie night with his son and good friend.
Most of all, Tim will be remembered for his unwavering faith in Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Jill Johnson; four children, Ryan Johnson, Micah Johnson, Ileen Maxwell and Christine (Maxwell) Gaudet; granddaughter, Scarlett Sayler; mother, June; four sisters, Wanda Johnson, Donna (Russell) Baxter, Anita (Craig) Hoehne and Diana Schussler; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
His father Clifford and sister, Carol, preceded him in death.
