Trio from Detroit Lakes receive NDSU scholarships
A trio of students from Detroit Lakes received scholarships from North Dakota State.
Christopher Genereux, son of Dale Genereux, Cleveland, Tenn. and Pam Genereux, Detroit Lakes, received the First Year Textbook Scholarship.
He was active in track and field, fall musical, Laker singers and the math club at Detroit Lakes High School. Genereux is also an Eagle Scout.
Scott Larson, son of Greg and Julie Larson, received the Presidential Honor Scholarship. He will receive $10,000 over four years and it is given to students to score between 29 and 31 on the ACT.
Larson plans on majoring in mechanical engineering.
Matthew Weiss, son of Michael and Lori Weiss, received the Presidential Honor Scholarship as well.
He plans on majoring in architecture and minoring in music. Weiss was active in cross country, swimming and diving, track and field, symphonic band, jazz band and Day of Caring.
