Tuesdays in the Park - come for supper, stay for the music
You’re past those Monday blues and onto the Tuesday… well, Tuesdays in the Park!
Tuesdays in the Park offers free music every Tuesday evening from mid-June through August.
Concert-goers are allowed, and in fact encouraged, to bring their picnic baskets and blankets, and turn an ordinary concert into an outdoor family event.
For those not interested in bringing their own picnics, no problem.
Habitat for Humanity hosts a freewill picnic dinner from 6-7 p.m. each Tuesday as well.
Tuesdays in the Park outdoor summer concert series kicks off with the Lakes Area Community Concert Band on Tuesday, June 4, at 7 p.m. in the DL City Park Bandshell.
Each Tuesday night through Aug. 27, there will be free concerts featuring some of the best area talent.
And then if you haven’t had enough time in the park with Tuesdays, check out the 5th annual Shakespeare in the Park, too.
This year, area actors will present “The Winter’s Tale” June 28-30 and July 5-7 in the DL City Park Bandshell.
